Dentistry and the Treatment of Sleep Disorders

Dr. Avi Weisfogel is probably best known as a sleep expert than as a dentist due to the fact that he has made more contributions to the world of medicine in the former capacity than in the later. As such, it is better to start this off with a brief overview of his medical and dental training before getting to his expertise regarding matters sleep.

Dr. Avi Weisfogel is an alumni of Rutgers University where he studied and obtained a BA in Biology before moving on to the New York University School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS. After completing his training he was quick to start his own dental practice, Old Bridge Dental Care where he worked for a period of 15 years beginning in 1999. Although he had a great dental practice at the time, going by the numerous awards that he received (including being named Dentist of the Year several times) he recently commented in an interview with Idea Mensh that those 15 years were not what he would call his best. In his own words he was not really satisfied when working as a dentist. He was fascinated by sleep and studied it in detail, eventually establishing Owner Unlimited Sleep Patient in 2012.

Dental Sleep Masters came next and since he established it in 2014 he has been able to impact thousands of lives of people with sleep related problems. Dental Sleep Masters is an organization whose primary focus is centered on sleep treatment and dealing with sleep disorders. However, what really makes the organization unique and to stand out from the rest is the dental angle that it adopts when it comes to dealing with sleep related problems. The main agenda and objective behind the establishment of Dental Sleep Masters was aid dentists in helping patients with sleep disorders through the utilization of oral appliances.

Besides Dental Sleep Masters, Dr. Avi Weisfogel is also the man behind the establishment of Healthy Heart Sleep. This company which he founded in 2010 contributed significantly in helping physicians worldwide and giving them advice on how to set up and manage sleep labs properly.
